Routine Eye Exams

It’s important for adults to have regular eye exams, as many eye and vision problems have no obvious signs or symptoms. Early diagnosis and treatment is important for maintaining good vision and eye health.

Motor Vehicle Exams

Need an eye exam for the DMV? We can help. We are authorized to perform the vision screening tests required to apply for or renew driver licenses in New York State.

Cataract Surgery

Cataract surgery is performed to remove your eye’s cloudy natural lens and replace it with a clear lens implant. It is an outpatient procedure with rapid visual improvement.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is a condition that causes damage to your eye’s optic nerve and gets worse over time. It can permanently damage vision and lead to blindness if left untreated.  Early diagnosis and treatment can limit glaucoma-related vision loss. Depending on the type of glaucoma you have, eyedrops, medication, or surgery may be recommended.

Macular Degeneration

Macular degeneration is one of the leading causes of vision loss in adults over the age of 55.  Early recognition can detect treatable forms leading to less visual loss.

Dry Eye

Poor tear production can lead to Dry Eye Syndrome. Treatments for dry eyes can include lifestyle changes and eye drops. More severe cases can be improved with minor procedures.

Allergic Eye Disease

Many people suffer from some type of eye allergy, either seasonally or year round. Various eye drops may be prescribed to help alleviate itching, burning, watering and redness of the eye, and puffiness of the eyelids.

Emergency Eye Care

Our doctors are available 24-7 to manage eye emergencies such as infections, foreign bodies in the eye, other injuries requiring medical or surgical management, and sudden loss of vision.

Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery to correct droopy eyelids, eyelids rolling in scratching the eye, or rolling out causing tearing and exposure, or to remove growths or cancers can be performed in the office or as an outpatient procedure with improvement in vision and comfort.

Botox

Botox is injected into muscles to relax overaction and temporarily improve eyelid and facial spasms, or to improve the look of frown lines between the eyebrows and forehead and crow’s feet lines around the eyes. The effects can last from three to twelve months.
